Counselling/Psychotherapy
"Counseling generally works in the 'here and now,' focusing on solving specific problems, while psychotherapy is a generally longer-term process that delves into deeper emotional issues. Both aim to help individuals manage and overcome mental health and emotional challenges.
If you are a potential new client, please book a free 20-minute 'Hello' session. This is a space where we can both ensure we are a good match, and where you can ask any questions you might have. If you can't find a 20-minute free slot that suits your schedule, please contact me directly."
Face to Face Sessions
EXISTING CLIENTS ONLY - To book a face-to-face session for Counselling, Psychotherapy, DBR, or EMDR, please use this link. If you prefer an Online session at the allotted time, go ahead and book the slot, but remember to send me a message specifying your need for an online appointment; otherwise, it will be scheduled as face-to-face.
POTENTIAL NEW CLIENTS - I recommend booking a complimentary 20-minute Online chat to discuss your needs. This also provides us both with an opportunity to ensure we are a compatible match for working together.
Face-to-face meetings will be in the EX2 area unless other arrangements have been agreed.
Online - Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR).
DBR -
Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) aims to access the core of the traumatic experience in a way that tracks the original physiological sequence in the brainstem, the part of the brain which is rapidly online in situations of danger or attachment disruption. There may be threat and attachment wounding together when, for example, an experience of abandonment in infancy activates age-appropriate fears for survival. (Frank Corrigan, 2023)

Online - Clinical Supervision
Clinical supervision is essential for counsellors at all levels, from newly qualified to seasoned professionals. It not only offers an opportunity to review client cases and refine personal counselling methods but also plays a vital role in self-care. This process ensures that professionals do not become personally diminished or overwhelmed, helping them maintain their well-being while providing effective support to their clients.
I am personally passionate about clinical supervision and believe it should be made available to professionals from all backgrounds.
For therapists and trainees, please ensure you book the appropriate session length (e.g., 1.5 hours, 45 minutes, etc) and format (Face to Face or Online). Note that some online bookings may not be convertible to Face to Face. If your preferred option is unavailable, please reach out to me directly.
New clients are invited to schedule a free 20-minute session to determine if we are a suitable match and if I can fulfill your ongoing needs.
Online - EMDR
Online -EMDR
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, is a well-researched and effective form of psychotherapy designed to lessen the intensity and emotional impact of traumatic memories. In this structured therapy, patients briefly focus on their trauma memory while experiencing bilateral stimulation, often through eye movements. This process has been proven to aid in recovery from trauma and PTSD symptoms. Additionally, ongoing studies, like those cited by Maxfield in 2019, indicate EMDR's effectiveness in treating various conditions such as anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, addictions, and other distressing life experiences.
Couples and Relationship
Couples, family, and relationship counselling is a comprehensive form of therapy aimed at assisting various types of relationships — be they romantic couples, family members, or professional partners. This therapy focuses on improving communication skills, enabling individuals within any relationship dynamic, including families and work-based relationships, to better express their needs and understand one another. It's instrumental in resolving conflicts by offering effective strategies for managing disagreements constructively. The counselling process also addresses underlying issues that might impact these relationships, ranging from past traumas and differing values to personal challenges and professional roles. In families, it can help navigate dynamics like parenting styles, sibling relationships, and intergenerational conflicts. For couples, it enhances emotional and, where appropriate, physical intimacy, while in professional contexts, it fosters a more collaborative and understanding work environment. This type of counseling is also proactive, serving as a preventative measure to address potential issues before they become significant problems. Sessions, provide a neutral and safe space for open and honest communication, aiming to strengthen bonds and improve understanding across all types of relationships.

Online - Coaching
Positive psychology coaching is a method of coaching that integrates principles from positive psychology, a field focused on enhancing human flourishing and strengths rather than merely correcting weaknesses. This approach emphasises identifying and utilising an individual's innate strengths and abilities, fostering positive emotions and resilience, and setting and achieving meaningful life and career goals. It aims to boost overall well-being and life satisfaction by encouraging optimism, gratitude, and a growth mindset. Grounded in scientific research, positive psychology coaching takes a holistic view of the individual, considering their values, beliefs, and circumstances to promote personal and professional development.
You can choose to book either a single session or a complimentary 20-minute consultation to discuss your specific needs. If you prefer in-person meetings, please contact me directly to check for availability.
